Collette Cummins

Executive summary

Collette Cummins is currently located in Bangalore, India serving as managing director of Bangalore Audit Methodology, Operations and Culture. She has extensive experience working with international audit teams on audit methodology issues including complex sampling issues. She has over 20 years of experience in accounting, auditing and financial reporting. Additionally, she has worked with the culture transformation team and is extensively involved with the firm business resource groups (BRGs).

Collette previously worked with Grant Thornton International (GTI) serving in the role of Global Head of Assurance Applications. In this role, she was involved in the development of the firm’s audit methodology, audit tools and related training and communications.

Prior to her GTI role, she was managing director in the Audit Methodology department of the National Professional Standards Group of Grant Thornton LLP, the US member firm of Grant Thornton International.

Since 2015, Collette has been a member of Grant Thornton’s culture transformation team which is responsible for transforming Grant Thornton’s culture both nationally and locally. She also serves as an Executive Sponsor for Equality GT, the firm’s LGBT+ BRG.

Prior to re-joining Grant Thornton in 2006, Collette was the Director of Financial Reporting for Safety-Kleen, Inc., the leading provider of environmental services to commercial, industrial and automotive customers.

Collette is a licensed CPA in Texas and Illinois. She is also a member of the AICPA, Texas and Illinois CPA societies.

She holds a BA from Southern Methodist University and an MBA in Accounting from University of Texas.
