Brian Eccher

Executive summary

Brian Eccher is a principal with Grant Thornton’s Business Applications team in Pittsburgh and a leader of Grant Thornton’s Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) practice. On a national basis he is responsible for the Oracle Planning & Budgeting practice and is credited with the creation of leading practices in the design and deployment of these solutions. Eccher has more than 19 years of experience in management consulting and prior to joining Grant Thornton he was a partner with MarketSphere Consulting, serving as the leader of the Oracle Planning practice. Prior to MarketSphere, Eccher was a manager with BearingPoint, focused on the delivery of EPM solutions to the manufacturing sector. Previously, he spent three years with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting where he was a member of the financial business solution team.

Eccher has deep experience in the EPM field, servicing the office of the CFO. With a financial background and technical skill set, he brings process and technology improvements to the finance organization. He has demonstrated the ability to lead both large-scale transformational projects as well as quick high-value SWAT engagements. Eccher’s areas of specialty include budgeting and forecasting, close and consolidations, dashboards and score carding, and management reporting. He has worked with clients across many industries and throughout North America and Europe.
