J. Scott Farber

Executive summary

Scott has more than 38 years of experience in the areas of complex financial reporting, international trade, risk assessment and strategic financial transactions. He has provided guidance to a wide range of companies, from emerging start-ups to large publicly-held entities with global operations. Scott has audited public and private companies, assisting with merger and acquisitions, financing transactions, international expansion and evaluating general business performance and process improvements.

During his career, Scott has served clients across such industry verticals as technology, consumer, industrial, manufacturing and distribution.

Scott served as the Asia Pacific Technical Director and Liaison Partner from 1995 – 1998, based in Hong Kong. He was an International Business Center Director from 1998 – 2019. Scott was also the West Region Audit Practice leader from 2014 - 2019, has serve on the firm’s Partnership Board from 2006 – 2012.

Scott was seconded to Grant Thornton International Limited in 2020 to support our Strategic Growth Market activities focusing on Brazil, China, Japan and Mexico.

Scott is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
