Doreen Griffith

Executive summary

Doreen is the Dallas Office Managing Partner. In this role, she is responsible for Grant Thornton’s commitment to our clients, people, and the business community. Most recently, Doreen was a member of Grant Thornton’s Tax Leadership team, as the Growth Leader and Financial Services Tax Leader. In that role, Doreen set the growth direction of the tax practice, works collaboratively with clients and Grant Thornton teams, and helps bring new service offerings to the market.

Previously, Doreen was Grant Thornton’s California Managing Partner, the National Managing Partner of Tax Services, the West Region Tax Practice Leader, and the Office Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Honolulu.

Doreen has extensive experience managing cross-service line teams in multiple geographies. Her personal expertise is in the areas of federal tax consulting, structuring and compliance.

In 2015, Doreen was named one of the Bay Area’s Most Influential Women by the San Francisco Business Times.

Doreen’s primary industries of focus are food and beverage, real estate, hospitality, gaming and financial services. She leads large cross service line teams serving private equity and its portfolio companies.

Professional qualifications and memberships

She is a member of several organizations including, American Heart Association, National Association of Female Executives, Louisiana Tech University College of Business Advisory Board, and BYU School of Accounting Advisory Board.

She is the Former Chairman of the Hawaii State Board of Public Accountancy and is a member of the Texas State Society of CPAs and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
