Dean Jorgensen

Executive summary

Dean Jorgensen is the national partner-in-charge of Tax Accounting Market Delivery, which includes tax accounting services and related thought leadership. Jorgensen also serves as the lead relationship and/or tax engagement partner on several key clients. As a senior Tax partner, he brings strategic insights and value-added recommendations to clients primarily in the areas of tax accounting, corporate governance and risk management, and corporate tax planning.

Previously, Jorgensen was the Northeast region Tax partner and New York Tax practice leader. Prior to those roles, he was the managing partner of Grant Thornton’s Washington National Tax Office (WNTO). In his WNTO role, Jorgensen was primarily responsible for the management of Grant Thornton’s Federal Tax practice, including tax accounting and corporate mergers and acquisitions. With regard to tax accounting, he has led firmwide technical training and developed distinctive client service methodologies. He is also an active speaker on tax accounting matters including at the national and chapter levels of the Tax Executives Institute.
