Scott King is the managing principal of Grant Thornton’s Public Sector state and local practice. He has more than 25 years of experience in strategic and business planning acquisition and performance management. King has consulted to state and local and the federal government, as well as foreign governments and Fortune 500 companies in ever-increasing levels of responsibility. King has written numerous articles about privatization, shared services and outsourcing. Before joining Grant Thornton, King was a principal with UMS Group, and spent 13 years at the Department of Defense, where he held leadership positions in acquisition, program management and performance management.
