Joseph H. Loretto

Joseph Loretto is a partner in the Dallas office and leads the firm’s Latin America Business Group. He is also the international business director for the U.S. Central region. He has over 15 years of experience providing audit services to public and private companies across various industries, including manufacturing, distribution, technology and services. He has significant experience with public equity offerings, M&A, U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, SEC and PCAOB technical matters. As the leader of the Latin America Business Group and international business director, Loretto helps drive business development for cross-border international assignments and leads a team of international experts that supports the firm’s international business strategy.

During his career at Grant Thornton, Loretto has worked from simple to complex audit engagements. During 2012-2014, he served as the U.S. resident partner in São Paulo, Brazil, providing technical and operational advice to firm leadership. Prior to Brazil, Loretto worked for Grant Thornton China in Beijing, managing a portfolio of U.S. publicly traded and privately held companies. He provided U.S. technical knowledge for clients throughout the Asia-Pacific region. During his assignment in China, he was in charge of U.S. technical training to local professionals.

Earlier in his career, Loretto served on a short-term assignment for Grant Thornton Australia in Melbourne, where he applied knowledge in IFRS, and provided U.S. accounting and auditing experience to Australian companies.
