Tim O'Neil has more than 12 years of experience handling accounting, business operations and IT matters for clients. He has a dual-industry focus on technology and government contracting. His government-contracting clients primarily provide technology products and services to the federal government. He has extensive experience in handling audits for both public and privately held companies and is an active provider of value-added business advisory services to dynamic companies.

O'Neil consults on complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, complex debt and equity arrangements, impairment, business combinations, and government contracting compliance matters. His experience includes a demonstrated international business acumen established by managing the global delivery of audit, tax and business advisory services across the globe. O'Neil serves as the primary technical content contributor for the firm’s annual Technology Industry Practice training, specifically as it pertains to software and multiple-element revenue recognition. Further, he has led the public company audit training to professional staff at both the national and local practice level, and leads the Grant Thornton national training to firm associates on an annual basis.
