Ed Safdie has more than 30 years of experience in the Federal Government and served as a VA Chief Biomedical Engineer; Chief Engineer; Chief Corporate Facility Planner; VHA Director of Healthcare Engineering; Associate Medical Center Director; VBA Director of Administration and Facilities; VBA Director, Office of Management; and Director, Programs and Plans, Office of Construction and Facilities Management. His private sector work experience includes Consulting Engineer, Biomedical Engineering, and serving as an expert witness in medical device product liability.

Mr. Safdie’s areas of functional expertise are Healthcare Engineering, Facility Maintenance, Asset Management, Healthcare Administration, Construction Management, and Forensic Engineering. His Grant Thornton client work includes GSA Real Property Asset Management and DHS Real Property IT Systems Requirements Development. He received an MS in Biomedical Engineering from Sacramento State University and BS in Electronic Engineering from University of California, Davis.
