Nicholas C. Saracco

Executive summary

Nick is an Advisory Principal in the Business Risk Services practice with more than fifteen years of experience in internal audit and controls advisory. Nick has primarily focused on governance, risk and compliance services, performing co-sourced and outsourced internal audits, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) readiness assessments and consulting, risk assessments, compliance audits, IT application controls reviews, quality assurance reviews, restatement consulting, and project management.

Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Nick was a Manager for a global business consulting and advisory firm, performing internal audits, SOX readiness services, and system integrations. Nick’s internal audit experience included managing and executing financial, operational, compliance, and performance audits.

Nick works with a mix of public and private companies – both global and domestic – primarily in the manufacturing / consumer and industrial products space. However, he has also served clients across the healthcare, higher education, retail, technology, not for profit, and financial services industries.

Professional qualifications and memberships

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and an active member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Community involvement

Board of Governor member for the Institute of Internal Auditors – Chicago Chapter. Prior to this role, Nick served as the Treasurer of this Chapter for five years.
