John J. (JJ) Schneider III
Executive summary
JJ has 12 years of experience in tax service. After graduating college in 2004, he joined Grant Thornton’s Cleveland, Ohio office as a federal tax associate. During these years JJ gained experience in federal and state income tax compliance and consulting services.In 2006, he transferred to the South Florida office, where he spent three years as an International Tax Specialist, focusing on consulting related to Private Equity outbound investing, gaining expertise in foreign information reporting forms and U.S. foreign income tax withholding.
In 2009, JJ transferred to his present office in San Jose, California. Since arriving in San Jose, JJ has established himself as a Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Service (TARAS) Specialist, with deep technical knowledge in ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes.
JJ is a member of Grant Thornton’s Technology Industry Practice, focusing on clients in the semiconductor, software, software as a service, and digital media space. His clients are publicly traded and private equity backed multi-nationals, early stage and venture backed start-ups, and closely held private business, ranging from pre-revenue to over $500 million in revenue.
