Erik Shannon

Executive summary

Erik Shannon has 30 years of experience serving health care organizations. He has worked extensively with large health systems, academic medical centers, schools of medicine, integrated health systems, community hospitals, children’s hospitals, physician practices, senior living & care, health plans and healthcare portfolio companies.

Shannon has led numerous projects that include strategic planning, financial planning and analytics, organizational development/incentive alignment, restructuring and reorganization, mergers and acquisitions planning and integration, performance improvement, revenue cycle solutions, regulatory reimbursement (CARES/FEMA), physician integration, and physician practice management. He has also served as interim COO to a large academic medical center. These projects have involved working with multiple levels of an organization and numerous constituencies in complex environments and situations. Shannon was formerly a partner with Ernst & Young LLP and Arthur Andersen LLP. He frequently teaches classes, speaks at various organizations and leads roundtables for CEOs and CFOs around the country.
