Wei Tang

Wei Tang is a Managing Director in the Enterprise Technology Strategy and Innovation practice Grant Thornton’s in Advisory Services. He leads the enterprise strategy practice at Grant Thornton LLP. Wei has more than 20 years of experience in managing IT portfolios and programs for his CIO clients with an IT budget ranging from $40 million to $4 billion. He helps his clients to achieve their business goals by defining strategies, formulating portfolios, prioritizing IT investments, justifying budget and allocating resources.

He facilitates IT governance boards to analyze trade-off of IT investments and measure performance of those investments. He implements governance structures, cost models, Technology Business Management (TBM) Framework, processes and tools to improve organizations’ efficiency.

He develops guidance to help his clients to conduct business case analysis and implement agile development methodology.

He manages large-scale IT programs focused on integration of business and IT with outstanding record of implementing new business concepts and delivering innovative business solutions.

Prior to his work at Grant Thornton, Wei was a Director at Serco and an Associate Director at Fujitsu.

Wei’s clients have included federal and state government agencies, and organizations within the financial services, air transportation, healthcare, insurance, and non-profit industries.
