Jim Tish

Executive summary

Jim Tish leads Grant Thornton’s Detroit Audit Services practice. With more than 20 years of diverse industry, financial and advisory experience, he has served both public and privately held companies. The majority of his clients have international operations requiring global coordination of audits in countries such as Germany, Brazil, France, India, China, Mexico and Poland. His clients have global revenues ranging from $100 million to more than $6 billion.

Tish advises clients on acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings and recapitalizations. He has worked with a wide variety of Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, aftermarket suppliers, and service providers to the automotive industry. In addition, he has assisted clients in SEC filings, including shelf registrations, and debt and equity offerings. Prior to Grant Thornton, Tish was a senior manager with a Big Four firm, where he led global audits for multinational automotive suppliers. He spent two years in Dusseldorf, Germany, where he managed due diligence engagements on significant European acquisitions.
